We understand that finding and choosing the right therapist can feel overwhelming. We are committed to demystifying the process, making it as transparent and easy as possible.
As therapists, our individual approaches may all be slightly different, but we are united by our belief in the person-centred approach. This means we believe everyone has the capacity to grow, given the right conditions. We will not try to tell you what to do, or give ‘advice’. We believe that you are the expert in your own life and experience. We are here to listen and support you however you need, in a safe and boundaried way.
Person-centred therapy is based on a relationship of equals, built on respect and understanding, providing a space where you will not be judged or told what to think.
Person-centred therapy is based on these ‘core conditions’:
- Empathy – trying our best to really understand you and see things from your point of view
- Congruence – being honest, transparent and ‘real’
- Unconditional positive regard – accepting and valuing you as an individual.
You can read more about the person-centred approach here.
We are also committed to making therapy as accessible as possible across all sections of the community. We always aim to work with and support diversity. Our therapists have a range of experience of working with clients from varied backgrounds, including vulnerable or marginalised groups.
Please see our therapists’ individual pages for more information about each of them and their individual approach and experience.
The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.
